$5,000 in Proof of Concept funding is available to current UCLA students and recent alumni with early-stage startups/ideas.
To apply for funding, you must have a personal profile and an idea profile on ucla.ideator.com and complete this application.
Startup UCLA will award a limited number of Proof of Concept funding grants to early-stage startups for the development of their ideas. The Proof of Concept funds may be used to evaluate the business potential of your idea, assess value of technology, create prototypes, assess IP/competitive landscape, market research activities, and more.
Applicants must be active in the ucla.ideator.com platform with at least 1 venture consultation within the last 3 months or within 3 weeks of submitting this application. Startups awarded Proof of Concept funding will be required to attend, at least, 2 venture consulting sessions within three months of receiving the funding. All Proof of Concept funding applications will be reviewed by the Startup UCLA team in what we expect to be a competitive process.
