Are you an aspiring entrepreneur interested in high-growth startups? Do you want to better understand venture capital financing? On Thursday, October 25th at 6pm, come to Startup UCLA (Covel Commons 203) for a Fireside Chat and Q&A with Unshackled VC, a Silicon Valley based pre-seed fund focused on immigrant founders and international students. We’ll cover a range of topics, including what VCs look for in startups, the fundraising process, and how those who have immigrated to the US can navigate the landscape. Food will be provided.
Founded in 2014, Unshackled Ventures is the only early stage venture fund specifically for immigrant founded startups. The fund provides investment capital, along with full immigration support, including visa sponsorship and employment, and plugging portfolio founders into the VC ecosystem.
Founded in 2012, Startup UCLA’s mission is to help students and alumni develop as entrepreneurs.
Sigma Eta Pi, founded in 2010 at University of California Los Angeles, is the first entrepreneurship fraternity on the West Coast.
